We received the sad news that our Global Law Bachelor student Liz Nabankema has suddenly passed away at the age of thirty-three. Liz was an active and beloved student and our thoughts are with her family in Uganda, with her friends, and with all who knew Liz.

Liz was actief en geliefd. Onze gedachten zijn bij haar familie in Oeganda, bij haar vrienden en bij iedereen die Liz kende.

My dear Liz. I am so sorry. I just learned about the news recently. You are such an amazing strong woman. Always fun to be around with and extremely kind hearted. It breaks my heart to learn about this news. It was such an honor to get to know you and be your friend. I will cherish every moment we spent together. You are loved whereever you are.

Dear Liz, I am so sorry to hear that you are gone. I can't quite believe that it is true and that I did not find out for so long. You will be deeply missed by so many. This news came as a shock. After having just taught Liz in the latest global law course I can say she completed all her work diligently and to the end. I am saddened to hear of her passing away so suddenly and at such a young age. My thoughts are with Liz’s family and the global law students and colleagues who knew her best. My deepest condolences.

My condolences to Liz's family and friends. I knew Liz only a little bit but she was inspiring especially for an African student in an international law program. She was intelligent and empathetic to others issues and plight. I pray that she rests in peace and that God provides comfort to her family and friends amidst their loss.

I learned with deep sorrow that Liz is no longer with us. My condolences to her family and friends. Liz left this world far too early, but she will always live in our hearts and memories. It is hard to believe and come to terms with the fact that Liz is no longer with us. Liz was a fun, kind, and lively person. Her presence in classes and group projects was always warm, and even those who did not know her well felt her glow. She lived her life to the fullest and I hope she is resting in peace now. I truly cannot believe that Liz is not with us anymore. These news are just shocking and unbelievable. Liz was very bright and very smart girl. Liz was always with a smile and with a lot of joy in her eyes. She was very motivated and she tried her best to reach the pinnacle of knowledge and career growth. She was always interested in subject and asked questions. At the same time she was very funny and made our classes to be more fun.
